Located in Patrocínio, this estate is the largest, and also the oldest, of the company’s farms, and was purchased in 1977. The land is mostly flat with slight undulations and an altitude that varies from 900 to 950 meters (2,950 to 3,100 feet).
The varietals cultivated on this farm are Yellow Catuaí, Mundo Novo and Red Catuaí. Bourbon and Yellow Icatu are scheduled to be introduced in the future. A central pivot irrigation system supplies the plants with the right amount of water required for optimum development. About 80% of the production is harvested by mechanical means; the remaining 20% is manually harvested.
This farm is equipped with drying facilities, including a drying patio of 20,000m2, as well as a modern milling plant.
The legal reserve and a permanent reserve area provide sanctuary for birds and other animals. The plantation of native tree species is scheduled to be expanded until it covers 30% of the total area of the estate. Certification: UTZ Kapeh, Rainforest Alliance and Caccer (4 stars).
